Principle: The Double-XX works with a 67 mm wide coil, which is stretched up to 137 mm, resulting in 50% material savings compared to conventional perforated systems!
For Expanded-Metal Spiral tube production, the Double-XX eliminates the need to make or purchase pre-expanded or perforated material. It reduces material thickness by over 50% thanks to the Liner’s Spiral solid lockseam. It produces ultra clean end cut Liners with 62% open area, at high output, and with accurate diameters and lengths.
The Double-XX comes with a Servo driven Flying Slitter cut-off and produces Spiral Liners with outside or inside lockseam. Systems controls memorize Liner length cutting (no mechanical parts), automatic helix angle changeover position, as well as essential production data. Optionally, the Double-XX is supplied with a Coil-end Welder for speedy coil feed.
